He was predeceased by : his siblings, John Cooley (Sandra) and Kathy Caves (Michael); his parents, Tommy Cooley and Mary Cooley; and his stepfather Dale "Pops" Coffey.

He is survived by : his wife Nancy Cooley; his children, Robert Waight (Lindsay), Zachary Cooley, Elizabeth Waight and Samantha Waight; and his grandchildren, Gabriella Waight, Cassandra Waight and Jeremiah Waight.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to The Cooley Family.
