He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hoekstra and Anna Hoekstra; his sisters, Caryl DeBoer and Dorothy Broetjes; and his son David Lee Hoekstra.
He is survived by: his wife Donna J. Hoekstra (VanderWeide); and his children, Jim Hoekstra (Cindi), Sandy Pierce (Randy) and Cathy Evans (Ted). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
