He was predeceased by: his parents, Winford Claxton and Lona Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Claxton; his children, Ryan Claxton of Deputy and Dianna Cole of Louisville, Kentucky.; and his brothers, Lathie and Ralph Claxton.
