He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Fields and Mary Esther Gassert Fields; his wife Della Ruth Mack Fields; his daughter Peggy Hamlett; his siblings, Marsha Diane Fields Royalty, Nancy Sue Fields Grider and Anthony L. Fields; and his grandson Daniel Bliton.
He is survived by: his children, Theresa Abbott (John Long) of Madison, Vivian Girdler (Tom) of Edinburgh, Indiana, Kenneth Mason, Jr. of Madison and Bobby Joe Fields of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Shawn Bliton (Alex), Brandie Weisz (David), Chelsae McLane (Jake), Jennah Tennell (Cole), Tessa Hawley (Blake), Markita Turner, Amanda Haws (Bill), Lesli Schroeder (Brian), Dustin Mason and Kayla Dell; and his siblings, Linda K. Rook (Rick Hopkins) of Unionville, Donna Jean White (Ossie) of Deputy, Indiana, Kenneth R. Fields of Dayton and Robert K. Fields (Becky) of Paris Crossing, Indiana. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; plus he was very close to other relatives.
