We are sad to announce that, on January 21, 2026, at the age of 80, Berneta Wafford of Dillsboro, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Shinkle and Mary Ann Shinkle (Craddock). She is survived by: her husband Thomas "Tom" Wafford of Dillsboro; her children, Glenn Wafford (Melissa) of Aurora, Gregory Wafford of Louisville, Garry Wafford (Melisa) of North Port and Gail Wyatt (Jason) of Lawrenceburg; her brothers, Grayson Shinkle (Pam) of Lawrenceburg, Kenneth Shinkle of Dillsboro and Gordon Shinkle (Ruth) of Milan; and her grandchildren, Ty, Josh, Caleb, Patrick, Mindi Sue, Joel, Jeremiah, Hannah, Leah, Rebekah, Micah, Josiah, Blake, Emma, Hayley, Brooke and Makayla. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given in honor of Berneta to Dearborn Baptist Church Missionary Fund.
