He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lade (Niebrugge) of Dillsboro; his children, Michael Lade (Christy) of Anderson and Traci Young (Dave Brashear) of Dillsboro; his siblings, Monica Parker (Ray), Larry Lade (Brenda), Charles Lade, Marcus Lade, Ella Colwell (Ron), Kathy Cutter (Dean), John Lade and Joy Richards (Bobby); and his grandchildren, Josie Lade, Ella Lade, Ava Young and Mikey Young.

Memorials may be given in honor of David to Trinity Lutheran Church or Oakdale Cemetery Association.
