He was predeceased by: his parents, George Vanderpool and Edith Mary Vanderpool (Winstead); and his son Terry Vanderpool. He is survived by: his girlfriend Donna Acree of Dillsboro; his son Randal Vanderpool Jr. of Alabama; his stepson Mark Dearwester (Tracie) of Cincinnati; his daughter Tia Wells of Aurora; and his stepdaughters, Tammy Dearwester of Cleves and Tonya Oldham (Daryl) of Rising Sun. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; 3; great-grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; and 21 step-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in honor of Randal to the Heart House or Dillsboro Volunteer Fire Department.
