He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Nicholson and Sophia Nicholson (Walls); his siblings, Floyd "Jake" Nicholson, Betty Quinn, Donald Nicholson, Judy Waggoner and Linda Roach; and his son-in-law Robert Eades.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Nicholson of Jasper, IN; his children, Terry Nicholson (Marilyn) of Jasper, IN, Sherry Cupp (Andy) of Little River, SC, Sheila Eades of Cincinnati, OH and Steven Nicholson (ReRe) of Bardstown, KY; his grandchildren, Eric Nicholson (Beth), Greg Nicholson (Tiffany), Adrienne Cave (Brett), Gavin Cupp (Dana), Chad Cupp (Ashley), Shelby Schubert (Aaron), Stephen Eades, Michael Eades, Ryan Nicholson (Rebekah), Ariel Reed (Tim) and Chloe Nicholson; his brother Dean Nicholson (Janet) of Hillman, IN; and his brother-in-law Randall Roach of West Baden, IN. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Line Lodge #743. Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Nicholson Valley Church (10043 IN-56, Dubois, IN 47527). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at the Crystal Community Cemetery.
