We bid farewell to Elizabeth L. Chaffee of Dyer, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 23, 2025 at the age of 93. Elizabeth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Elizabeth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Elizabeth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Marion T. Chaffee; her children, Jeffery Chaffee and Mary Weyhe; her parents, Mary Pettry and Hansford Pettry; and her siblings, Charles, J. T. Pettry, Clara Lawrence and Bonnie Jenkins.
She is survived by: her children, Elaine Allman and Thomas Chaffee; and her brother Alan Jenkins. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
