Garry Owen Rooney Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Garry Owen Rooney of Dyer, Indiana, born in Flossmoor, Illinois, who passed away on October 25, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his sister Maureen Gilbert (Steve). He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Rooney; his siblings, Owen Rooney, Brian Rooney (Tracy), Kevin Rooney (Joanne) and Denise Clodfelter (Michael); and his in-laws, Kathie Simpson (late Tom), Jane DeAngelis (Angelo), Terry Grossi (late Joel), Linda Husum (Tom), David Koza, Diane Carey (Liam) and Jim Koza (Donna). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Garry's name to the American Cancer Society.
