Gerald O'Connell Obituary
Mr. Gerald O"Connell passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the age of 92. He was born in and raised in Chicago and attended De Paul University. During WW2 he served with the Navy in the South Pacific. After he was discharged from the Navy he worked as a CPA and founded Norwood Marking Company in Frankfort, IL.
He was a past member of Woodmar Country Club in Hammond, IN and Briar Ridge Country Club in Dyer, IN. Mr. O"Connell was married to his wife, Patricia, for 52 years. They lived in Dyer, IN and spent many winters in Naples, FL, eventually becoming permanent residents. They were members of Bears Paw Country Club for 35 years.
Mr. O"Connell was predeceased by his beloved wife, Patricia, on November 27, 2012. He is survived by his brother in law, James & his wife, Donna and several nieces and nephews. There will be a Mass of the Christian Burial at St. Ann"s Church Chapel, 475 9th Ave S., Naples, FL on Wednesday, November 8th at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Portage, IN.
