He was predeceased by: his parents, John Szamatowicz and Norma Szamatowicz. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Sue Szamatowicz; his children, Beth Szamatowicz and Scott Szamatowicz (Patricia Theokas); his grandchild Sloane; and his siblings, Martin Szamatowicz (Michele), Annette Sepiol (Steve) and Karen Ruiz.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN 46311). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
