She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Theodore Williams, Sr. and Eunice James Williams. She is survived by: her husband Walter Newton; her daughters, Phyllis Johnson, Sharon Newton and Karla Taylor; her grandchildren, Beverly Nicole Johnson and Amber Lynn Taylor; her sons-in-law, Gregory Taylor and Donald Johnson; and her sisters, Naomi Nickerson (Melvin) and Annette Boling. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
