He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Esther (Pallhegyi); his significant other Marilyn LaPointe (Constant); and his brothers, Jack LaPointe and Ronald LaPointe.

He is survived by: his children, Matthew LaPointe and Christine Weisbecker (Carl); his granddaughter Ellie Alling; and his siblings, Ernest LaPointe (Kristine) and Eileen LaPointe (Gerald).
