He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Dean Sr. and Violet Wavelene Miers (Champ); his sister-in-law Darlene; and his niece Julie Miers. He is survived by: his close friend Cheryl Caldwell; his children, Jeremy Miers (Peggy), Rodney Caldwell and Katrina Kelly; his brother Byron Dean Miers Jr.; his niece Lisa Vuurman (David); and his nephew Jeffrey Miers. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
