He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Ball and Olive Elizabeth Ball (Huff); his wife Betty Ball (Speedy); his grandson Brentley Ball; and his siblings, Mary Shrout, Othella Enlow, Barbara Hackman, Katheyne Ball, John Ball, Roger Ball, Ricky Ball and James Ball.

He is survived by: his children, Thomas Ball (Trisha) and April Ball Andry; his grandchildren, Ashley Ball and Bradley Ball; and his siblings, Joan Crecelius, Lois Hensley, Gladys Ridden, Donna Ball and Delbert Ball. He is also survived by 6 great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
