We bid farewell to Howell Newman Wheaton (Elberfeld, Indiana), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 28, 2025 at the age of 101. Howell touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Rudolf Wheaton and Golda Wheaton; his wife Jeannette Alvena Stahl; his daughter Jane Ellen Wheaton; and his brothers, Bob Ahrens, Glenn (Betty Stahl) and Lloyd (Mildred Stahl).
He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Kaye Ramirez of Sacramento and Susan Alvena Wheaton (Douglas Wayne Chambers) of Fayette, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Rachel Elena Ramirez Groszowski (Jason Andrew Groszowski), Miguel Gustavo Ramirez (Rita Allison Ramirez), Gina Elizabeth Ramirez Alvi, Tessa Jeannette Chambers Hartman (Bradley Edwin Hartman) and Trace Wheaton Chambers; his great grandchildren, Shawn Edward Alvi and Matias Gustavo Ramirez Groszowski; his sister Leola Ahrens; his niece Lee Ann Galloway; and his close friend Tim Cobb.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Nobles Chapel Church (5478 E 1250 S, Elberfeld, IN 47613). The military honors was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Nobles Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nobles Chapel Cemetery or Missouri Angus Association Foundation Scholarship Fund.
