He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie E. Leonard and Margaret Beesley Leonard; his brothers, Gregory and Roger Leonard; and his stepdaughters, Teressa Miller and Susan Steining.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Leonard of Elizabethtown; his children, David Leonard (Mary) of Elizabethtown and Rose Marie Nickerson (Mark) of Taylorsville; and his siblings, Bill Leonard (Robin) of Columbus, Kendall Leonard (Lisa) of Columbus, Randall Leonard (Yvonne) of Elizabethtown, Larry Leonard of Clifford, Willie Leonard, Jr. (Ann) of Taylorsville, Teresa Leonard (Terry Warren) of Columbus and Anita Leonard of Clifford. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
