She was predeceased by : her parents, Alex Holmes and Grace Holmes (Wood); her spouse V. C. "Buck" Ashcraft; and her siblings, Robert O'Dell, Effie Kern and Dorothy Veysey.

She is survived by : her daughters, Joy Brenner (David) of Waccabuc, Janet Linton of Elkhart, Judy Blough (late David) of Elkhart and Mary Lawson of Montesano, Washington.
