It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alta Powell of Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on October 28, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence L. Baker and Mabel Wilson Baker (Proffit); her son Robert Lee Powell III; her siblings, Virginia Mary Bryant, Janet Lucy McGlone and Elmer Leslie Baker; and her siblings-in-law, Conley Cook, Colburn Bryant and Helen Love.
She is survived by: her siblings, Anna Sue Cook of Elkhart, Lavona Rose Sorg (Danny) of Adamsville, TN, Carolyn Louise Collins of Elkhart, Wendy Warren Baker (Betty) of Elkhart, Nancy Jean Walterhouse (Bill) of Middlebury, IN and Larry Wilson Baker of South Bend, IN. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
