He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Morgan Cleavenger and Christina Cleavenger (Shackleford). He is survived by: his wife Thelma J. "Jean" Cleavenger (Dean); his children, James M. Cleavenger, Alva R. Cleavenger II and Jennifer R. Sailor of Elkhart; his sister Arlene Ewing of Parkersburg; his grandson Daniel J. Sailor (Frankie); and his great grandchild Jordyn.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Victory Chapel (30898 Co Rd 20, Elkhart, IN 46517).
In honor of Al's life and legacy, memorial donations may be made to Victory Chapel, where he found great peace, purpose, and fellowship.
