It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobbie Eugene Hayden Sr. of Elkhart, Indiana, born in Ellettsville, Indiana, who passed away on August 20, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Bobbie shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Bobbie farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hayden and Elma Hayden (Taylor); and his siblings, Madge Collins, Iris VanDeventer and Ted Hayden.
He is survived by: his children, Katrina Wruble (Frank) of Edwardsburg, Steven Hayden (Judy) of Osceola and Bob Hayden Jr. (Patti) of Osceola. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Bob's contributions to local sports were recognized when he was inducted into the Elkhart County Sports Hall of Fame.
