He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar "Sam" Parks and Alma Parks (Everett). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Reed; and his children, Charlene Oliver (Brian), Charlotte Martinez and Jack "Bo" Parks (Holly). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandsons.
