He is survived by: his mother Rita Alvarez; his wife Maria Mercado Alvarez; his children, Marcos Alvarez Jr., Javier Alvarez, Alexandra Olguin, Jessica Centeno (Jesus), Vanessa Alvarez and Fatima Alvarez; his grandchildren, Yaretzi, Sophia, Esteban, Ximena, Katalina and Aeon; and his siblings, Samuel Alvarez (Elisa), Juan Carlos Alvarez (Maribel), Baltazar Alvarez, Rita Avelar (Adolfo), Mercedes Alvarez and Aurora Alvarez. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
