He is survived by: his daughters, Tracy Reiners (Bradley) of Pierre and Veronica Adams (Jesse) of Elkhart, Indiana; his grandchildren, Brittney Hamilton of Indiana, Alex Reiners (Emma Gobble) of Iowa, Jessica Reiners (Randy Davis) of Iowa, Faith Dubert (Jeff) of Iowa and Kacie Adams (Kevin Potts Jr) of Ohio; his brother Fred "The Giz" Blatz of Clearwater, Florida.; and his girlfriend Pat Huntsberger.
In lieu of flowers, David requests that donations be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
