He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Wood and Dorothy M. Wood (Burns); and his wife Patricia K. "Patti" Wood (Wright). He is survived by: his children, David D. Wood, Jr. (Renee) of Howe and Kathy G. Wood of Elkhart; his siblings, Roger Wood (Peggy) of Wingo, Kentucky, Jeff Wood of Tyler, Texas, Beverly Kelling (Rob) of Tyler, Texas, Earlene Cashen (Jaime) of Middlebury, Joann Crowder (Raymond) of North Carolina and Barbara Morrison (Floyd) of Elkhart; his grandchildren, Amy McConnell (Jay), Ben Wood, David Plante, Kane Stoddard and Casey Wood; his great grandchildren, Brady, Ella and Taylor McConnell; his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Cash, Uriah, Berick Wood, Addison Stoddard, Collin Tiemann-Plante, Blake, Kendal, Reagan Plante (Brendon Mullins), Hayleigh Mullin and Makayla Fletcher; and his great great grandchildren, Laytin and Alaina Plante.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oakridge Cemetery.
