It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Debra Elaine Kooienga of Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on April 26, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Mary Sanders; her grandparents, Ernest and Lillian Quinn; her former spouse Terry Ellsworth; her husband Lyle Kooienga; her children, Tara Freel (Scott), Stacy Gonyon (Charles) of Elkhart, Lisa Dobkins (James) of Middlebury, Robert Ellsworth (Autumn) of Bremen and Willard Quinn of Elkhart; and her siblings, Cathy Harmon of Elkhart and Randy Sanders. She was also cherished by 20 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, you plant a Lilac bush in her memory as that was her favorite.
