She was predeceased by: her parents, Eleanor Mae Gates, Jr. (Emmith) and Russell Allen Gates, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband John Russel Marks; her stepsons, John R. Marks, Jr. (Anne) of Elkhart and Thomas H. Marks (Jessica) of Elkhart; her sister Leslie A. McCartney (Max) of Yuma, AZ.; her half-siblings, Lorie Dossart of Wilkinson, WA and Derek Mirkle of Hobart, WA; her stepsiblings, Lorlyn Kraus of Garrett, IN and Gary Evans (Debbie) of Holton, MI; her niece Renee Foster (Jeff); her nephew Daniel Garl, Jr. (Patty Davis) of Sturgis, MI; and her pet Rocky Jo. She is also survived by 7 step grandchildren; 10 step greatgrandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Elkhart County Humane Society.
