He is survived by: his children, Drew, Amanda Recupido (Mandi) of Fishers, Ashley Murphy (TJ) of Carmel, Derrick Chambers (Jess) of Noblesville, Robbie Chambers (Stephanie) of South Bend, Corey Hughes of Knox and Jeffrey Recupido of Rochester, Indiana.; his parents, Donald Recupido and Georgiana Recupido of Merrillville, Indiana.; his siblings, Ronald Recupido (Donna) of Matteson, William Recupido (Jaye) of Remington, Lori Gutelius (Dave) of Plymouth, Vicki Zieman (Art) of Dyer and John Recupido (Lisa) of Crown Point; and his pet Hester. He is also survived by six grandchildren plus one on the way, many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Don's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
