He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Francis Kern and Blanche Mae Kern (Parcell). He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Kern (Cathy) and Steven Kern (Donna Van Horn); his granddaughter Cynthia Crussemeyer; and his sister Janice Crain. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hotel Elkhart (500 S Main St, Elkhart, IN 46516).
