He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Mattix and Cynthia Mattix. He is survived by: his children, Mel Mattix (Brandy) of Middlebury, IN and Tracey Stewart (Scott) of Elkhart; his stepchildren, Julie Thomas (Alec) of Ocala, FL, Scott Mitchell (Dana) of Ft. Wayne, IN and Lori Mitchell of Ocala, FL; his grandchildren, Brenden Stewart, Ashley Stewart, Megan Mattix and Bryson Mattix; and his stepgrandchildren, Ashton Thomas, Chase Thomas, Carter Thomas, Layton Mitchell and Ainsley Mitchell.
