With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas Putnam (Elkhart, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2025 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Putnam and Gertrude Putnam; his son Todd C. (Mary T.); and his siblings, William and Patricia.
He is survived by: his sons, Matthew Putnam (Ann) of Minneapolis, MN and Joel Putnam (Jean) of Miami, FL.; his grandchildren, Morgan Putnam (Ruth), D. Reed Putnam (Sarah), Merril Seidl (Ben) and Audrey Kenworthy (Max); and his great grandchildren, Olin Seidl, Rhys Putnam, Leo Seidl, D. Cash Putnam, Ellory Putnam, Cece Putnam and Jackson Kenworthy.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests remembrances be donated to the Community Foundation of Elkhart County for the Mary T and Doug Putnam Scholarship or the Todd C Putnam Scholarship or to the Wellfield Botanic Gardens or to a charity of one's choosing.
