He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Newman and Estelle Newman (Fuller); and his brother David Newman. He is survived by: his wife Karen Vollmar; his daughters, Elizabeth Carey (David), Tiffany Phillips (Jason) and Emilie Vollmar; his granddaughter Anna; and his siblings, Beverly Jamison, Ricky Newman (Sally) and James Newman (Mary). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
