He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershel Olinger and Thelma Olinger; his son David Olinger; his grandchildren, Mitchell Olinger and Lindsay Whitehead; and his brother Floyd Olinger.

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Kidder; his children, Dan Olinger (Cinda) of Middlebury, IN, Darrick Olinger (Sherry), Michael Olinger (Tabitha) of Granger, IN and Patti Olinger of Goshen, IN.; his sister Mary Lou Weldy; and his daughter-in-law Tabitha Olinger. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given to Elkhart City Church or to Heartland Hospice.
