We are sad to announce that on November 3, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Eric Owings of Elkhart, Indiana. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Robert and Jan Ray. He is survived by: his parents, Craig Owings and Elizabeth Owings (Ray); his brother Luke Owings; his grandparents, Doug and Dorothy Street; and his uncles, Kevin Owings (Julie), Tracy Butler and Mike Brewer (Ruth Weinbrom). He is also survived by cousins and extended family.

Memorial donations may be given to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), 199 Water Street, 11th Floor, New York, NY 10038 or Elkhart County Suicide Prevention Coalition, 608 Oakland Ave. Elkhart, IN 46516.

“He was one of the best musicians I ever knew. He was always smiling when he had that guitar in his hands. Eric was in almost every band I had ever started or formed. We shared talks on music, family, hopes, dreams and aspirations. I never had a dull moment with him. I loved how he was always brutally honest with me and never beat around the bush ,and he did this because that's what true friends do. I'll miss this man, I'll always remember him. He's gone way to soon.”
