He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hughes and Margurite Hughes (Ramona); his wife Ramona E. Deemer; his daughter Carol Jean Hughes; and his sisters, Thelma Clancy and Jeannette Schlichting.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda Nye of Elkhart; his grandchildren, Michelle Sailor (Robin) of Mishawaka, IN. and John Nye (Juanita) of Wakarusa, IN; his great grandchildren, Brook Watson (Kris) and Nicholas Followell; his great great grandchildren, Elliana Watson and Knicholas Clark; and his sister Sylvia Rupnow of Fort Atkinson, WI..
