He is survived by: his children, Michael H. Atkinson, Victor L. Atkinson, Debra K. McBrier and Barbara S. Byler; his sisters, Helen Cook, Mary Davis (Tom) and Dorothy Willetes (Bill); and his grandchildren, Carl Byler (Kathy), Carie N. Byler and Krystale Atkinson. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
