He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cowsert and Velma Cowsert (Murphy); his wife Patricia Pugh; his son Rodney Cowsert; and his siblings, June, Louise, Shirley, Robert, Mike, Charlie, Joe, Jack and Dennis.
He is survived by: his children, Mick Cowsert (Gail), Tammie Shock (James) and David Wise; his grandchildren, Trisha Lang (Nate), Tyler Cowsert (Lyndsie Basham), Brandon Roher (Ashlee), Bryce Cowsert and Nicholas Cowsert; and his great grandchildren, Shealyn, Ashdon, Sophie, Matthew, Evelyn, Xander, Mikey and Charlotte.
