He is survived by: his wife Martha McPherson of Elkhart; his children, Michael Sims (Kelly) of Cincinnati, OH, Carol C. Sims of Elkhart, Matthew R. Sims of Elkhart and Laurie K. Sims-Posthuma of Elkhart; his grandchildren, Ryan Sims (Jasmin), Tyler Sims (Brittany), Andrew Sims (Lauren), Cassandra Dunker (Adam), Michael Sims (Juana) and Allysia Sims; his stepgrandchildren, Michael P. Posthuma and Taryn Posthuma; and his brother John Sims (Carol). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
