With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Mitchell Hill of Elkhart, Indiana, born in Champaign, Illinois, who passed away on January 13, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Hill and Davie Hill; and his sisters, Shirley Hill and Diana MItchell. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Dr. Nicole Hill of Columbia, SC, Jerica Monteiro of St. Louis, MO, Jacquie Rost (Scott) of Elkhart, IN and Jeff Odiorne (Lisa) of Anderson, IN.; and his siblings, Clifton Payne, John Payne, Deloris Mann and Carla Sanford.

In lieu of flowers, James requested that donations be made to the Union Memorial AME church.
