She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Monk and Nina Monk (Nicely); her husband Richard K. Truex, Sr.; and her brothers, Glenn Monk, Raymond Monk, Weldon Monk and Donald Monk.

She is survived by: her children, Cristina Truex, Diana Purcell (Michael), Richard K. Truex Jr. (Kimberly) and Gregory Truex (Alexis); her grandchildren, Mark Pierson, Tanya Pierson, Jillian Arnold (Brandon), Erika Howard (Jeremy), Noelle Truex, Lauren Truex, Victoria Truex and Jean Truex; her great grandchildren, Kohl Pierson, Jayden Pierson, Kennedy Traxler, Harrison Arnold, Bronson Arnold, Baylen Howard, Charlotte Howard and Savannah Howard; and her pet Maddie.
