He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Checchio Sr. and Janice Y. "Bonnie" Brunk Checchio; and his sister Mary Checchio Fox. He is survived by: his sister Kathleen M. Checchio; his nieces, Rhiannon Checchio Harrison and Rosie Checchio Young; and his brother-in-law Roger Fox.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Belmont Mennonite Church (925 Oxford St, Elkhart, IN 46516).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Belmont Neighborhood Fellowship.
