He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Thomas and Marian Larsen (Bryant). He is survived by: his wife Anne Rose Thomas (Chapinski) of Elkhart; his daughters, Lori Holt (Robert), Amy Stallman (Jon) and Carrie Mohr; his stepchildren, Matthew Rushenberg (April), Timothy Rushenberg (Kristin), Joanna Rushenberg and Phillip Rushenberg (Heather); and his grandchildren, Sam, Sydney, Mia, Jake, Mackenzie, Taylor, Isabella, Mary, John, Alaina, Charles, Maggie, Aubrey, Michael, Luke, Joseph, Madison, Peter, Max, Nicholas, Marion (Samantha) and Oliver.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 7:30 PM at the Billings Funeral Home (812 Baldwin St, Elkhart, IN 46514). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (1405 N Main St, Elkhart, IN 46514).
