He was predeceased by: his father Andrew Thomas. He is survived by: his stepson James Coleman; his siblings, Charlie Thomas (Debra) and Frances O'Hara; and his cousins, Kathryn Myrick and Gloria Offord. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
