He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Bontrager and Lydia Ann Bontrager (Yoder); his sons, Todd and Troy Bontrager; and the mother of his children Patricia White.
He is survived by: his children, Joni Jones (Ben) of Jackson, MI and Tony Bontrager; and his brother Marty Bontrager of Middlebury. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
