She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Hany and Lucille Hany (Ogden); her husband Harold Richard Smith; her son-in-law Dan Franklin; and her grandson Rusty Steven Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Steve Smith (Leslee), Randy Smith (Kathleen Szymczak Lindsay) and Kathy Franklin; and her brothers, Gene Hany (Carol) and Eldon Hany (Cindy). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
