He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence J. Hilgendorf and Leatha C. Hilgendorf (Hoag); and his wife Silvia "Sue" Hilgendorf. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Steenhoek (Kurt) of Ft. Myers, FL. and Kevin Hilgendorf (Sharon) of Bremen, IN.; his grandsons, Kenneth and Thomas Hilgendorf; and his siblings, Sally Jo Biege (Dennis) of LaPorte, Martha Ann Barber (James) of Warsaw, IN, Jane Loeffler (Wayne) of LaPorte, IN and Clarence J. Hilgendorf (Dana) of Bradenton, FL..
