Larry W. Downing Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Larry W. Downing of Elkhart, Indiana is shared. Larry, born on February 14, 1943, passed away on October 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Larry will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Larry by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Larry is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Larry’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester W. Downing and Daisy M. Downing (Camp); and his sister Marjorie Sherfick. He is survived by: his wife Sondra Rowland; his children, Tonja Lucchese (Frank) of Elkhart and Tony Downing (Michele) of Middlebury; and his grandchildren, Ashley Lucchese and Grant Lucchese (Kelsee).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM and at 5:30 PM at the Wellfield Botanic Gardens (1011 N Main St, Elkhart, IN 46514).
