He was predeceased by : his father Ervin Hayes Larry. He is survived by : his mother Shirley Larry; his wife Janet L Hayes; and his children, Shirley Renea Covington (Ron Covington), Larry Jackson Hayes (Tina), Ryan David Lantz (Jennifer Lantz), Edward Clay Hayes (Tracy Hayes) and Troy Abbott Lantz (Jamie Lantz). He is also survived by 20 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Elkhart Ward.
