It is with great sadness that we announce the death of LaVone Marie Hicks of Elkhart, Indiana, born in Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on August 15, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ernest Schultz and Barbara Schultz (Shallcross); her husband Ron L. Hicks, Sr.; her children, Sheila K. Wagers (Troy) of Simpsonville, SC, Kimberly A. Kissam (Bill) of Lebanon, TN and Ronnie L. Hicks (Tina) of Elkhart, IN.; her grandchildren, Jimmy Turnmeyer (Brittany Cromwell), Brittany Porter, Jade Kirkland (Nick), Devan Porter, Ian Holdread and Zachary Hicks (Madison); and her siblings, Dennis Schultz (Lynn), John Schultz (Dotty), Larry Schultz (Sue) and Cheryle Navickis (Curt). She was also cherished by 7 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
